BATS B vs Torpoint (Medley) Home
Sam Campbell-Hingston aged just 12 made his debut into the senior league and played extremely well - definitely a player to watch out for in the future. Colette David and Francesca Morton saved the whitewash by winning their games and Katie Macnaughton in her debut was very unlucky to lose after 3 close ends, losing in the third end 21-18

BATS A vs Derriford (Medley) Home
The A team were very pleased to come away with 3 points from their Derriford opponents who are very experienced players. Abi and Rachael so nearly made in 5-4 when they lost in three very close ends and actually ended up with more points overall.

BATS B vs University (Medley) Home
Francesca Morton was again man of the match winning three out of three. A special mention for David Wrigtht too as he won his mixed with Francesca. They have both been getting closer and closer to winning games and the experience is now beginning to pay off.

BATS B vs Builders (Medley) Home
With some extremely close games the 8-1 defeat didn't tell all the tale. Francesca Morton is man of the match today for BATS by a great margin. Her determination paid off in the game with Heather Cooper which was won 21-19 21-19 and which saved the whitewash for the home side. With a young girl Helen Haley in the Builders team and Francesca the same age, they were equally matched and it all boiled down to who was the most determined. Helen took the second ladies but Francesca raised her game again and triumphed in the third ladies. I think their respective partners could have gone off for a cup of tea. They so enjoyed their games that they have decided to team up in the DML junior tournament next month.

BATS B vs Callington B (Medley) Home
Francesca Morton and Alan Berry playing second mixed saved the whitewash for the home side by taking their game in two. ends, although Colette David and Heather Cooper came very close in the no 1 ladies event taking it to three ends

BATS A vs YMCA Kitto (Medley) Home
The final 9-0 defeat did not tell the whole tale. Most of the games were very close and two went to 3 ends. Jon & Paul as no 1 men and Paul & Rachael at no 2 mixed were both close three enders. David Wright standing in as reserve also played exceptionally well, especially in his mens games. Francesca Morton, also standing in was very unlucky not to take her ladies game with Rachael Williams to a third end. A very respectable evening against the experience of the top of the league team.,

BECKLY CUP
Greenbank, at home to B.A.T.S. saw the Visitors receive a handicap of +288 which meant that B.A.T.S. had to score 5 aces per end. They did this in 9 of the ends and more than 5 in four of the ends, scoring 81 aces and with the handicap a total of 369 giving Greenbank victory by 9 aces.

BATS A vs Mayflower (Medley) 8 Dec 2007 Home
All in the A team played magnificently to notch up their first 9-0 win.

BATS B vs Callington C (Medley) 23 Nov 2007 Away
Francesca Morton won her first ever game in the League 21/14 21/12 playing with Heather Cooper. Colette David and Chris Carter promptly caught the winning bug in the mixed and took the game 22/20 21/18 in nail biting style. David Wright is still looking for his first win in the league and with each match this is getting ever closer as he builds up experience. This time it took three ends to beat him when he played with Alan Berry 21/14 15/21 11/21.

BATS B vs Builders (Medley) 19 Nov 2007 Away
Francesca Morton and David Wrigtht were within a whisker of winning their very first mixed but were pipped at the post 21/18 21/16. They were nevertheless very pleased witth this result.

BATS A vs Tavistock (Medley) 17 Nov 2007. Home.
Amazingly exciting to watch was the No 1 Mixed which went to the final wire in the third end. 21/16 17/21 22/24. Tavistock won by just 1 point overall with the final point score being 60-61. It looks like Rachael Williams aged just 15 and David Harrington will be an excellent partnership. With 2 A team men unable to play David Wright aged 15 and James David aged 16 stepped in and no-one was more surprised and pleased when James David and David Harrington took the second mens game in three ends 23/25 21/17 21/18. The two Davids lost 16/21 13/21, a very respectable score. Ray Northey (Tavistock) was very "impressed"

BATS B vs Callington B (Medley) 16 Nov 2007. Away.
The BATS team did their best but the Callington team played excellently to take the win 9-0. Chris Carter made his debut for BATS. We look forward to the home match!!!

BATS vs Devonshire B (Mens) 10 Nov 2007. Home.
James David on only his second outing has had his first victory winning a game with Jonathan Freeman. He also had some other extremely close games and was nominated as "Man of the Match" by team captain David Harrington.

BATS A vs Devonshire (Medley) Div 2.. 3 Nov 2007. Home.
Three young players ; Rachael Williams, Abigail Maunder and David Wrigtht had their first match in Division 2 and all played really well. Although BATS were beaten 8-1 Four of the games went to three ends with very close scores.

BATS vs University (Mens) - 27 Oct 2007.
We are proud to announce that James David has made his debut in the Plymouth & District Badminton League with a very creditable perforamnce.
