  • Tavistock Community Sports Centre in association with the 'West Devon Community Badminton Network (CBN)' and BAT's Badminton Club will be running a 'Community Badminton Bonanza Tournament' on Sunday 1st April 2012 at Tavistock College, starting at 2pm.
  • Completed Entry Forms (One per player!) can be:
    • handed in with the appropriate entry fee at the Tavistock Community Sports Centre Desk
    • sent to the Tournament Secretary with a cheque for the appropriate fee to the address on the Entry Form

Conditions of entry

  • The Tavistock Community Badminton Bonanza Tournament will be run as a 'Double Elimination Tournament'
    • All players entering each section of the Bonanza Tournament will play a minimum of four ends of badminton to 21 points per event
  • The closing date for entries is Monday 26th March 2012
  • This tournament is aimed at giving fun and experience to those who would other wise have limited opportunities to compete in tournaments and therefore restrictions apply. The bonanza tournament is open to social and lower league players only.
  • All players must be 16 or over.
  • Mavis 370 Plastic shuttles will be used.
  • Games will be 2 ends to 21 with no setting, using the rally scoring system;
    • The highest points score or, in the case of a tie, the winners of the second game to go forward as the winning pair.
  • All players play at their own risk.

NB: The tournament secretary reserves the right to exercise discretion in respect of all entries in order to maintain the nature of the tournament.

How to find the Venue

  • Travelling from Plymouth . . .
    • Follow signs to Tavistock (A386). When you arrive at Tavistock go straight over at the "Morrisons" roundabout; straight over at next mini roundabout then first left - signposted to Crowndale Recycling Centre. Tavistock Community Sports Centre is the second entrance on the right.
  • Travelling from Okehampton . . .
    • Follow signs for Tavistock (A386). When you get to Tavistock, follow the signs for Plymouth; when you arrive at the Sir Francis Drake statue, which is a roundabout, turn left and then take the next right, signposted Crowndale Recycling Centre. Tavistock Community Sports Centre is the second entrance on the right.
